Civil Engineer

Minimum Requirements:

• BTech in Civil Engineering.
• 2 – 3 years experience.
• Knowledge of design office or site works as a Resident Engineer.
• Valid drivers license.
• Must be willing to travel around SA for various assignments.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Skills required:

• Knowledge of MS Office packages – mandatory.
• Knowledge of AutoCAD CAD package – mandatory.
• Knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Knowledge of civil designer – knowledgebase/ optional.

Duties:

• Medium level project portfolio management of multi-disciplinary projects.
• Contract administration of multi-disciplinary projects.
• Construction management and supervision.
• Procurement of professional specialist engineering services.
• Conduction of feasibility studies and compilation of feasibility reports thereof and outline reports.
• Liaison with local, provincial and national authorities on issues of submissions, approvals and appraisals of proposals, plans, and other applications.
• High level ability to read and interpret Civil Engineering Drawings.
• Design, under supervision, of water, sanitation, roads, drainage etc.
• Medium level design draughting of civil engineering drawings.
• Comply with guidelines and regulations including permits, safety and deliver technical files and other technical documentation as required.
• Knowledge of Health and safety regulations.
• Knowledge of environmental management regulations.
